Yikes !!
I can't find my favorite flavoured peanut from China anymore. My Szechuan stir-fries are not the same without these peanuts as a garnish.

Ottawa Foodies, Please help.
Kowloon Market no longer stocks my peanut and I can't find anyone else in Chinatown that has these.
There is another brand out there , but nowhere near the flavour depth and freshness.

Maybe you can try making them at home? Doesn't look too hard.

BTW, I looked when I was at T&T on Friday and didn't see them. Lots of other peanuts but not these.

Thanks DD for your idea to make them myself (and the link).
Thanks FF for being my scout at T&T.
Now I'm off to get that stinky red Nam Yu (preserved tofu) and some peanuts.

Let us know how it turns out. I noticed a few recipes use the nam yu paste as a bbq marinade. Now I'm curious!

Farmers Brand.,,, found at Kowloon Market, Chinatown.
I don't think they have a heavy 'nan ru' taste like the 'pink bag' brand ... but they'll do.
Great on top of stirfrys that have black beans in it. Or just to snack on.
