there was mention in the thread about a mobile guy ... anyone kniw who this is?

I ask because this is a 20qt, so taking it in is a PITA.

Call Russell's restaurant equipment they have people they use and they do come out to fix, as it is a commercial siize mixer. Alternately call the place you bought it from.

This mixer was built slightly post WWII. And the guy I bought it from is looong gone.... :)

It hd a complete rebuild in the nineties, but I suspect that the starting capacitor is going out....
