ottawa foodies

Can anyone tell me where you can purchase whole loebs of foie gras in the ottawa area. So far I have only found one place and that is Mariposa farms but they are 45 minutes from down town.

I just saw some at Sasloves in the Market today. I have no idea what a loeb is though...other than a grocery store.

hehe.. I think it was supposed to be "lobe". A lobe of foie gras is a "whole" foie gras, although I think the full organ might actually be composed of two lobes.

I was in there trying to grab a chicken breast before heading home and ending up leaving with Bison Strips (mesquite) and Guinnea Hen Breasts instead... That place is too tempting!

I saw some foie gras at the Loeb in Blackburn a few weeks back.

Glebe Meat Market on Bank st, is an excellent place for all your offal needs. I buy as much meat as i can from there.
