Visited recently. I wasn't thrilled with how everything tasted, but maybe it was just my choice of toppings. As a grown man, I didn't feel like I belonged. I knew for sure this was a one-time visit when a young girl wrote "Mrs Bieber was here" on the chalk board.

Since it opened recently, this place has always seemed to be busy, so yesterday I popped in and gave it a go. Atmosphere is bright with a distinctly teenage theme - pics of Selena Gomez etc. enjoying Menchie's, and the clientele seemed to be largely in the 13 to 18 age range. We were met by a friendly employee who explained that there are 12 flavours on offer, but that there are over 50 flavours in their lineup, so they change frequently. One size bowl, with a house made waffle option, and you choose your own yogurt, toppings and sauces and pay for it at .55 per ounce.

There are tiny cups available for sampling, but if you can manage to get some into one of those paper cups without wearing it on your hands and cuffs, you have better aim than me.

I really liked their natural plain "tangy" flavour, but went for a small combination of the red velvet and cake batter flavours.

Toppings were really interesting including several flavours of mochi, and what looked to be tapioca pearls of the type that are in bubble tea.

Our servings were very small- approximately the size of 1 scoop of ice cream with about 2 tbsp of toppings each and a bit of sauce. I would say the cups were about 1/4 full, if that. The bill came to over $8 for the two of us, which was not excessive, but beware if you are bringing kids here. I expect that left to their own devices and given such large bowls, it would be fairly easy for a kid to creat a $12 sundae.

I am not normally a frozen yogurt fan, but I did really enjoy Menchie's and will return.
