Jack's Chipwagon is located next to the TD Bank on the corner of Rideau St. and Friel St. They have 3 picnic benches in front for those who want to enjoy their food and watch the busy streets of Ottawa.
They are most known for their poutine which uses real St.Albert cheese curds, and for their always fresh homemade hamburgers. They offer a wide variety of foods that are not commonly found at most other chip wagons such as grilled cheese and BLT.
New additions to their menu that is currently special orders are philly cheesesteaks, roast beef subs, and salads! Jack's Chipwagon is a friendly place that offers all types of foods for both the indulgent and health-conscious alike. A must try for anyone who is in the downtown area.

GRILLED CHEESE!! Ah, this reminds me of my childhood at my grandma's. I requested it to be cut into 4 pieces as opposed to 2 (half sections). Very very oishii! You can buy it alone for $2.50 or in a combo with fries and pop for $6.50

I went to Jack's Chipwagon for the first time today to eat poutine, I was not disappointed. I got a small one, which was the perfect size for me. They pu just enough cheese and gravy on the fries. I would definitely go back.

I really love their poutine. I frequently drop by and share a medium poutine with my husband. There's always just the right amount of gravy (for those who like lots of gravy, they offer FREE extra gravy on poutine). Unlike most other chip wagons I have been to that only put a full scoop of cheese on the top, "Jack's" put cheese curds both in the middle layer and on top. Very oishii(delicious/yummy) indeed!

Their baconcheeseburger is to die for! But it probably isn't the most healthiest choice on the menu IMO. I bought it in a combo and opted for salad instead of fries which was about $8.50 I think (don't quote me). It comes with a drink as well. I put some of my salad in the burger to see what it would taste like but in their original burgers they use green lettuce, not the stuff you're seeing in my picture.
Unfortunately, I already ate my salad before thinking of taking pictures! Next time I go back, I will have to remember to take a picture for you guys :)
