Foods from Delish

I've been to Delish twice for lunch now and have thoroughly enjoyed the food. Delish is a small restaurant/take-out place in Hull. They have a limited number of seats indoors and the patio is now open for the summer. If you want to eat lunch on-site, best get there early to get a seat and the best selection.

They make their food by hand at the restaurant. They offer a variety of sandwiches, salads, and a limited number of desserts. You order at the cash, take your seat, and wait for your food to be brought to you.

On my last visit on Friday, I ordered the Spanakopita, the mango-tomato salad and a glass of Fuzion (red wine). The water they serve has fresh lemons and mint in it, which is a nice touch. The salad was very tasty, with fresh red, yellow and other types of cherry tomatoes, along with large pieces of ripe mango. The spanakopita was heated up and served with a spicy red sauce (might have been srichacha). I splurged and ordered dessert, which was homemade strawberry rhubarb pie. It was delicious!

The prices are reasonable when it comes to the food. The service is not overly attentive as they are so busy at lunch hour, but it's nice not to have a server hovering over you. My only complaint is the price they charge for a glass of wine. Fuzion retails for $8.15/bottle in Quebec, and Delish charges $7 a glass. I expect a mark-up by the glass, but that's pretty ridiculous.
