Hi All,

There is a big(ish) 40+ teams kcbs bbq comp in Carp this weekend. The weekend fun includes lower town brewery beer tent, bands, and vendors including catering from Meetings bbq.

I'll be there Sunday judging, and with some luck maybe Friday for some beer and music.

By following the link and reading the entire page contents, I noticed a link at the very bottom that tells me:

KCBS = Kansas City Barbecue (sp?) Society

This is an assumption. Probably correct.

I could not find any information on the expected cost of the BBQ-style foods.

That is correct. There are various groups that sanction BBQ events, KCBS is the largest. The people running this contest are also part of the Canadian BBQ Society, which is a group that tracks canadian teams at competitions (a loose organization of Canadian competitors, primarily competing at KCBS events anywhere)
