ottawa foodies

Had these in Toronto at dim sum, extensive selection of filling too. However, I've never seen them on a menu in Ottawa, what gives? Is there anywhere doing them?

To be honest, I've never *not* seen Rice Noodle Rolls on a dim sum menu in Ottawa...

There must be an explanation for this. I must have thought they were something different all this time.

I just ate at Cafe Orient which has them on the menu for sure and I overlooked them once again! All these years and potential rolls uneaten in Ottawa. I need to make it all up, and quickly because I have a craving for them.

I guess the question should become who does them best? :)

Chu Shing Dim Sum menu has decent ones - I like the bbq pork best, they are located upstairs at Somerset and Cambridge right by the Archway. Saturday and Sunday is Dim Sum (cart style) until 2, but you can request the Dim Sum menu at other times (although certain items aren't available).

My favourite's were at Hung Sum but since the ownership change and switch to Yimin Dim Sum House they aren't quite as good (still decent).

Last time I was at Chu Shing (a while ago) was after hours and I didn't particularly enjoy it. Maybe I should go during the rush and give it another shot. With that said, thanks to warby I've learned that Hung Sum is reopening! I never gave theirs a try when I went, but I will now!
