Polyfaces Documentary Screening [Events]

2016 Jul 25
Hi guys!

This Thursday July 28, Saw Gallery is screening the food based documentary Polyfaces. It is a more in depth look at Joel Salatin's farm (as seen in the Food Inc. movie), and the positive work he is doing for local food movements and sustainable, regenerative farming.

My name is Dave Enright of Enright Harvest Acres Farm in West Ottawa. My farm uses the same pasture based methods as seen in this film. I will have a table set up at this screening. This is a must see for any food conscious foodie.

After the film there will be a Q&A panel featuring local food enthusiasts including:
- Bob Durie -- local foodie
- Summer Baird -- owner of Hintonburg Public House Pub
- Andrew Muckleston -- Muckleston & Brockwell Butchery
- Lisa Heenan -- Director / Producer of film
- other farmers, bloggers and possibly political mp's

Admission is $10, tickets available through my Facebook page: Enright Harvest Acres

P.S. - I am available for questions regarding pasture based poultry and grass finished beef, there is a lot of mis-information out there, including on this forum lol!

This looks awesome, Dave! And I totally agree, there is much misinformation and misunderstanding out there about pasture based meats and eggs.

Even as a farmer who knows a good deal about pasturing, there is always so much more to learn, and I think it's great for consumers to learn all they can about the food they eat.

I've been very fortunate to have had the opportunity at two different events to talk to Joel Salatin at length, and he is simply amazing. An hour of two with him is like an intensive workshop, lol!

Even got a picture with him, Montana Jones, and some of my farmer friends at Lifestock this year. So much fun! :-)

As far as I'm concerned, any documentary about his farm, Polyface, is well worth the time and money to go and see. I hope lots of people from Ottawa Foodies are able to go!
