I attended last evening. It was a very nice evening, the food was great, I enjoyed the Truis Brut very much. I am a fan of bubbles and it was a very good one. Once the Showcase Ghost Creek Riesling warmed up a bit, it opened up nicely, very good pairing with the summer salad. I did not care for the Showcase Chardonnay Barrel but I an not a fan of Chardonnay. The Stuffed Calamari was excellent. I enjoyed the Truis Red, I had had it before and had purchased it at the winery, The Surf and Turf was god but because I like my steak very rare it was over cooked for me. Serving so many people in a short time I understood, the Tempura battered soft shell crab was delicious. For dessert we had Lemon Tart Tiramisu was fantastic and paired with the Showcase Late Harvest Vidal was perfect. AS we were told the dessert should not be as sweet as the wine. The tartness of the dessert with the sweetness of the was perfect. Over all a great evening and one of the most enjoyable food and wine pairings I have been too.
