I usually buy everything for making sushi in chinese shops. But I can't find tobiko (fish roe) for California rolls. Is there any special Japanese shop or just the place where you buy it? Thanks.
The best source for Japanese specialty items is Kaedeya, at 210 Slater (near Bank St). But I've also seen a good selection of Japanese-style roe at the seafood stores around town, like Lapointe.
