I was on Bank st on Saturday and noticed a new ice cream shop!
Marble Slab Creamery.
It is right across from the Metro on a corner...hard to miss.
The store looks really nice and clean.
I tried a small ice cream in the cheesecake base and you get 1 mix-in for free~
I chose chocolate brownie. One thing I noticed compared to Cold Stone was that the girl was weighing my ice cream on a scale and the brownie pieces are all cut into a square (around 2x2") and she takes one of the squares and mixes that in.
Overall the icecream was good, but a small is $5.
I sampled a bunch of flavors and staff was very nice.
They have a green tea ice cream- it is good,but not that much green tea flavour.
They had at least 14 kinds of ice cream from strawberry, bubble gum,mocha?,peanut butter chocolate.
The only "plain" chocolate kind they had was "lactose free chocolate"- it was a milk chocolate icecream. It was good,but not super chocolatey.
I will have to give a few minuses as they do not have anything non-dairy.
I can't eat tons of dairy and they have absolutely no sorbet?? :(
They also have some cute icecream cakes and the 1 or 2 person mini cake is around $11- it is pretty small,but cute.
I took a pic of my icecream and will try and post that later today.
The "small" cups are fairly big,so I did not feel as ripped off as when I went to Cold Stone.
