Alaskan King Crab Leg Sale [General]

This crab is so good that I didn't even mind paying almost twice that price at Costco a year ago. I've since learned that it seems to go on sale at Loblaws and Loeb over the winter, as you point out.
The $7/lb price is great because these guys are chock full of delicious meat. A careful tap with a sharp cleaver is all it takes to notch them so you can break them open with your hands. Then you can pull out the big fat "sausages" of pure crab meat! Once or twice a year, wifey and I sit down and eat the full 3 lbs in one meal. There's something wonderfully decadent about filling yourself up with crab.
My only problem here is that we just have the freezer in our fridge, so I can never buy more than one bag. ;-)
