Almond Horseshoe [General]

2007 Mar 20
Still on the lookout for cookies - different ones this time. My all-time favourite is ANYTHING made with almond paste.
I work in Place du Portage (Hull) and we have one of those "marché" places with all the yummy lunch foods. They have these cookies which I am obsessed with.

I have just discovered through the wonders of the Internet that they are called:
Mandelhornchen or Almond Horseshoe. They are lightly crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, covered with almond slivers and the ends are dipped in chocolate. To die for......

They sell for $1.75 each at the marché. Does anyone know where they sell them cheaper? Perhaps in a package or something?

Thanks!
