Fuel Gel for Fondue ?! [General]

2006 Dec 24
Does anyone know where to buy canned gel fuel (Sterno) for fondue?

Never even though to check if I had any, used it all up last year...and I recall it being difficult to find.

Stupid stupid stupid. This could ruin my Xmas eve dinner plans..

I hope this doesn't get posted twice...

Just a thought, but what about outdoor stores like Mountain Equipment Co-op or Le Baron or Bushtaka?

Good idea! Someone also mentioned trying Canadian Tire in the camping section.

It'll be ok...deep breaths..

:)

Thanks.

Canadian Tire would probably be more reasonably-priced, too...

Heck, even Wal-Mart might have it!

At this point it's a time matter...money not important.

So much to do..I haven't even wrapped yet and I have to be in Stittsville for 5.

OK away I go!

Happy Holidays!

How did you do with the sterno? Success?

Hope you had a very happy Christmas.

I received an unexpected guest so I missed the store, but my sister offered up her electric fondue for my cheese instead of oil, and we used the raclette for the meat and raw veggies so all was good.

Had a very happy Christmas, thank you. I hope you did too!

All the best in the new year!

I know this is late and no longer needed, but for the record C. A. Paradis has fondue fuel too.

Oh but it is still needed. And C.A. Paradis is on my way home from work! How convenient.

Been meaning to check out this store. Thanks!

Oh, It's a great place for foodies to shop, but I have to ration my visits... good luck!
