And a hard boiled egg. . . . . . .

There's also a secret basement with a super computer, submarine dock and combat training gym.

Rizak Yes there is in fact an upstairs. The stairs are immediately on the right when you enter the store but you could be forgiven for not knowing they were there since they are usually hidden. I think there was some really large boxes piled up near them the last time I was in. I have never been upstairs since I didn't realize there were more treasures up there...

Upstairs? I never knew there was an upstairs!

The shop seems like a real (tidy) bazaar, thousands of products (the upstairs is a treasure trove of takeout containers, if ever you've wanted a whole stack of those round black ones favoured by Thai joints); yet any time I've ever had a question about something, even if it was way back on a top shelf in the middle of an aisle, the owner's known exactly what I was talking about and has proven knowledgeable about it. Love this place.

After much searching (Forum - Seeking a Kebab Grill) and thanks to WorstFoodieEver, I learned that this store sells the narrow skewer grill I was looking for! I got the 80cm one for $75. They also had them in 60cm ($60) and 100cm ($90).

This place is really well stocked with Asian housewares. It reminds me of a place on Spadina in Toronto that I could have spent hours in. Probably Ottawa's best source for Chinese knives, chopsticks, dishware, etc.
