I'm still bummed about that.

Tried the grilled cheese combo with pulled pork poutine recently.

The pulled pork poutine was ok. They put the pulled pork on top of the fries, gravy, and curds so you get a chance to try the pulled pork on its own before diving into the rest. By itself, the pulled pork was average. It was very sweet and doused in sauce. Mix the pulled pork into the poutine and the sweetness of the sauce doesn't merge well with the rest of the poutine. The addition of pulled pork detracted from the taste of the poutine.

However, the grilled cheese sandwich with pulled pork was amazing. The sandwich consists of a white cheddar (I think), pickles and pulled pork (obviously). The sourness of the pickles with the sweetness of the pulled pork made the sandwich taste great.

To sum it up, if I ever came back here, I would order the grilled cheese with pulled pork. And even then, the price of the sandwich at 7-8 dollars might make me reconsider.

AD 2 ...totally agree with you, that guy needs to work on his people skills...lol

The guy I usually see there is very friendly to me.

Agreed about the order-taker guy. Every time I've eaten here I've not felt welcome by him.

I'm a big fan of the pulled pork here. The pork is juicy, sweet and tangy..excellent.

That being said, the guy that runs the ordering/serving part of the truck always gives off a rather unfriendly vibe.
I almost feel like I'm bothering him by being there. I know others have noticed this as well as I overheard people in line comparing him to the soup nazi from Seinfeld.
The lineups are always long, so I guess the cold service isn't really affecting the turnout.
A simple 'hello' or 'thank you' goes a long way in customer service....just sayin.

Good for a quick lunch stop (the few of times I have gone were quiet, but my friends have told me it can get busy).

On a few different occasions, I ordered a pulled pork poutine and a schnitzel sandwich. I did very much enjoy both, but I'm no barbeque expert. Their fries could be better, but I am very picky when it comes to them. It's simple, very filling, unpretentious, and delicious.

The fries here are some of the best in the city. Thick cut meaty taters crisped up in some very clean oil. If anything visit for the fries. The gravy on the poutine was generic out of a can possibly a ST. Hubert or Swiss Chalet. A good amount of curd but certainly not an abundance. An average poutine for our city. If they could capture some juice from the pork while cooking and make something with that then praise would probably be in order until then a simple fry will do.

Finally got around to trying this place out. Had the grilled cheese and pulled pork Sammy along with a Cuban and a poutine. The grilled cheese was nicely done with a good grilling to crisp up some thick sliced white bread. The cheese was nice and sharp good think because the pulled pork really was not to my liking. Pork was a sweet sauced meat with little or no smoke profile to it. Not a North Carolina recipe for sure. If you like sweet on pork you will love this sammy. If you are looking for any tang you are out of luck!

The small size is a very generous serving for one person. It's best to eat it as soon as you get it so that the fries remain crispy. As a whole, I think it's delicious, even though I ate it a little while after I bought it and the fries has become a bit soggy.

I really like the pulled pork and the extra dollop of BBQ sauce they put on. It is something I would order again.

This was really good! The red shade is mostly because they have red umbrellas on their patio tables.

As far as I can tell, they usually assemble this like a normal poutine with gravy, then a topping of pulled pork and BBQ sauce. I asked for it without the BBQ sauce as I don't like too much sweetness in my food.

Like I said elsewhere. It might not be the best poutine I've had nor the best pulled pork I've had, but it's certainly the best pulled pork poutine I've had! :-)

Delicious. Fries could have been better but everything else (pork, sauce, temperature, serving size, bbq sauce) was excellent.

That menu sign is the worst though. So hard to read with the glare and darkness. Put it on the side of the truck, or on a sandwich board where more than 1 person can read it at a time (while squinting and crowding the person ordering).

Their schnitzel comes in sandwich form, very simple sandwich of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and schnitzel.

The pork is very nice and crispy, and the sandwich overall was very delicious, would definitely order this again. It's also nice to get a side of coleslaw with this, the fries I could do without.

The Cuban was a good Sammy even with the overly sweet pork with no smoke profile, the ham in the sandwich took away that sweetness along with the pickles helped to mask the pulled pork. For the price a great deal.

There was a bottle of Franks and some other hotsauce on the counter when i was there.

Totally agree on the cuban, it's a winwich.

The pulled pork Cuban sandwich here is tasty and satisfying. The ingredients work well together -- sweet meaty pulled pork, salty ham, sour pickles, creamy garlic sauce and cheese. The only thing really missing was spice. I can see avoiding heat in the pulled pork to appeal to the masses, but a bottle of Chalupa or something would be nice to have on the condiment counter.

Anyway, this is good stuff. $7.50 for the sandwich, $5 extra to make a combo with fries, coleslaw, and a soft drink. Normal prices for small fries and soft drink are $3.50 and $1.50 so you get the coleslaw for free.

The fries are of nice quality and my wife's schnitzel sandwich was also really good. Next time, I will get the Pulled Pork Poutine I saw others eating. However, I will ask for poutine gravy instead of BBQ sauce. I don't need more sweetness than what's already in the pork! The Large is absolutely massive.
