Went to Da Sergio with three friends last Thursday night. Reservations were for 6:30 and we were promptly seated.
Our server for the evening was a very charming older man with a heavy Italian accent. I believe this restaurant is family run so I am going to assume he was one of the "famiglia".
We all had wine to start. My friend and I shared a half litre of Chianti.
Now Italian is not my favourite since I often find it lacking in flavour but I have to say that my meal was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it came with a side of spaghetti with tomato sauce. The marsala sauce was tasty and savoury and the mushrooms were fresh. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the portion was just right. The best part however was the freshly made tomato sauce mixed in with the pasta. I am not sure how they can make spaghetti with tomato sauce taste like that but it was amazing.
Sadly we were too full for dessert.....
Other dishes were the lasagna (enjoyed very much) and the other two had the special which was penne with mushrooms, crab and scallops in a gorgonzola sauce and both said it was outstanding.
We used our entertainment coupons towards the meal so we got $12 off per couple.......
I will return with Mr. KSW for sure....
