Aww man! Always wanted to try but never got around to it.

Afraid so. Just happened last week.
Am sad. Their spicy chicken was awesome, the hot sauce unique (ish) and the potatoes legendary.

Riding by there today, saw a GIANT for lease sign in the window. I was in the other lane and it was morning, but I assume this means it is closed?

I visited at lunch time a couple months back when I was in the area on business. They have a buffet at lunch which is quite reasonably priced, I think it was $11 ish.

I came away stuffed and happy. There was a crisp green salad, nothing special about it but it was fresh. There was a chicken noodle soup, again not gourmet or anything but tasty all the same. I tried the pasta which featured some kind of spicy meat. Pasta was cooked properly and the meat had a nice zing. There was a fish dish, chicken legs/thighs, some veg and a delicious rabbit stew. That was my favourite.

For the price, I would recommend if in the area for sure. Service was friendly. The place was maybe half full on a random weekday lunch hour.

I went here with 3 friends just last friday.

I have no complaints about the service, I found the waiter to be very friendly, however the food was awful

My girlfriends steak had a HUGE (just smaller than a credit card) chunk of fat on it

my friends porkchops were cold

and I had a seafood(cataplana) dish where the bones were still in the fish, the beaks were still in the squid, and there was some weird kind of cartilage in another cut of fish.. oh and about 1/4 of the mussels in my dish were unopen.

Overall, i would not recommend this restaurant and i will not go back.

Warm reception every time. Food is consistently good, a very good quality to price value.
The house red is very acceptable with the meal.
Feels like going home, and I am not even Portugese.

Hopefully the day I went the grill was broken or something :/

This place has some of the limpest fries I've ever seen. The chicken was unmemorable.

I used to walk by regularly when I lived nearby and there was always a significant contingent of portugese labourers gorging themselves on huge piles of chicken and fries after a long day of work outside.

Maybe the cook does things differently if you order in Portugese?

How can a "house of grilling"'s chicken taste like it was boiled and then oven baked...
I didn't like this restaurant very much.
