This place is always hopping in the summer months. Its location is stunning and the atmosphere is so amazing. Once when we arrived with our young child, they were so full but were so happy and eager to have our business that they set us a table in the indoor courtyard! What service! We ordered the brie and ham on a croissant (it was the daily special) and it was great. I have also had their emu burger with a dill sauce and it was also incredibly delicious. The place is spacious and the service is exactly what one would expect.

Great restaurant in an old heritage building in downtown Perth. Small dining room with an open concept kitchen, also attached to an atrium pictured here. The Chef/Owner used to work at Clair de Lune, his influences can be seen in the daily specials. Last time I visited they had a pork tenderloin tempura served with berry compote on a bed of risotto - definitely not something you'd expect to find in a small town bar & grill.

It's the twist on the ordinary that really makes the dishes here: fries are hand cut frites, side salads absent of iceberg and with dressings made in-house, serving seasonal greens like fiddleheads and locally raised emu meat. You can see the attention to detail with presentation and can taste the fresh local ingredients. I'd recommend stopping by it if you're in the area.

They serve locally-raised emu here in burger form, an emu stroganoff, and pizza topped with emu meat.
