I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Ottawa in March of 2007. Since then I have been kicking around in various restaurants building my kitchen experience resume. I recently moved from Ottawa to Regina SK, so I'm not technically an "Ottawa" Foodie anymore, but I like the forums here so much that I'm still a regular visitor of the site. I work at Zest restaurant in Regina, which is casual fine dining. I'm lucky enough to be working for a chef right now who has an international reputation (he has personally cooked meals for the Al Fayeds if you can believe it!), so I kinda lucked out with this job, seeing as the pickin's in Regina are a little slimmer than in Ottawa in terms of landing interesting restaurant gigs.

I have a weakness for good cheese, good procuitto, and good wine. Lately I've been interested in ukrainian fodder, such as perogies, keilbassa, cabbage rolls and saurkraut - it comes with the territory of Regina lol.

Ah well... Thanks for getting back. Are there any other folks on this forum who you could recommend to me? Folks who are super into online foodie forums, and who'd be game for being photographed for an Xpress Food article!

Ive just looked up the Author, hes an american living in London. But like you said its not very well known, not over here anyway, always wanted a raft like Harveys, looks so cosy!

Hey congrats on the new job! It's great having professional chefs on this site. There are a few of you here, and it would be fun to get you all in touch with each other.
