Capt Caper Re: Fried Mac & Cheese [Food/Vendor]

Sorry to create a new thread but I thought this might get buried in one of the other posts.

I subscribe to a magazine called TRADER which is targeted towards equity traders and hedge fund managers. Every month they have an article called 'The 5000 Calorie Meal' where in true trader excess they go out to a high end restaurant and put together the most expensive, gluttonous feast then publish it in great detail (food porn included)

I couldn't help but notice in this month's column which was had at FIX in the Bellagio Casino in Vegas, one of the side dishes was "Very Adult Fried Mac & Cheese" that had a whopping 932 calories and 53 grams of fat!

Thought you might get a kick out of the description:

"We're in Vegas, so we hear 'very adult' and expect this gooey classic to come out of the kitchen slathered on Celine Dion's abs and be spoon fed to us by a leering Don Rickles (hey, it's our fantasy!). No such luck, but the actual dish is no small consolation: macaroni coated with cheese and truffle oil, cooled and chopped into logs, then breaded and fried more severely than a Bear Sterns hedge fund. It's also served with a truffle dipping sauce. Mac and cheese with dipping sauce? And they say Las Vegas is gauche and extravagant!"

Now that's what I call CONSUMPTION !!

Long live the land of the fat .... Whoops .... I mean free.

PS: Awwwwwww .... no truffle oil in the PC Mini Chefs Deep Fried Mac and Cheesie ???.... pity.
