LF Naem (Thai Sour pork sausage) [Cooking]

Anyone know where I can find Thai/Lao “Naem” in Ottawa? Haven’t ventured to T&T just yet, but if anyone has a lead, ,much appreciated. Thx

This seems to be pretty much the same as the more readily available Vietnamese nem chua (which Vietnamese immigrants introduced to Thailand). I've seen it (sometimes) at BestPrice Oriental Market in the fridge at the front of the store.

Because it's fermented, it is often eaten raw (with beer!) but there's still a risk of parasites and bacteria in fermented raw pork so I recommend cooking it! 🦠 🧫

Thanks warby. I’ve heard that the Vietnamese sausage is similar. I wasn’t aware of that market you mention.but wonder if T&T would carry it (closer to my neck of the woods). Agree re consuming it cooked (though risk of parasites in Canadian pork not what they used to be...bacterial risks still there!). (Ive eaten it raw in SE Asia but during my ‘risk taking’ years, lol!)
