Vegetable boards [General]

I love vegetable plates especially on slate:) After trying slate salads at Soif and Hooch (the crab salad that was previously on the menu with marinated cherries and amazing crab salad and lettuce), I wanted to try it at home.

Thus my first attempt. Any recommendations on sauces, veggies, recipes and/or books on plating?

Hoping to have a vibrant one for the holiday brunches:)))

My mother always makes radish flowers.

you cut a star shape in them and put in cold water until they open up.

But I also like watermellon radishes- use a cookie cutter to get fancy shapes- those radish are naturally pink and really pretty.

Also, I make a long around 1-2" wide ribbon of thin carrot and roll that up to look like a rose or flower.

-use some small cookie cutters and cut some colored peppers into whatever shapes.
