According to today's Citizen some grocery stores in Ottawa are now hiring professional chefs to cook their prepared meals: ottawacitizen.com So far I have only seen the prepared meals at Farm Boy, Whole Foods, and my local Loblaws and I don't see much I wouldn't prepare at home. (Although I do like the meatballs from Loblaws and have bought them once or twice.) There seems to be a demand for prepared foods however and I could see how they would be in high demand.
