Any suggestions on where to find black raspberries? I saw them a few weeks ago at the Herb & Spice on Wellington but they didn't have them anymore when I went in late last week. I hope I haven't missed the season. I have a recipe for sweet corn and black raspberry ice cream that I really want to make.

Strawberrygirl - just came across a posting by a farmer friend of ours MEADOWLARK RISE FARM very near to Vankleek Hill.

Farmer Justin has a stall at the HUDSON FARMERS MARKET THURSDAY 3-7PM..also at VANKLEEK HILL FARMERS MARKET SATURDAY 9AM -1PM.

I just messaged the farm. Seems they had BLACK RASPBERRIES mid-July will update once I know more.

Okay - I just checked - Black Raspberries are done for the season. Check back mid-July next year (depending on the weather).

Thanks, flexie! I'll keep that in mind for next year. I ended up using a mix of raspberries and blackberries in place of the black raspberries for the ice cream, and it was delicious anyway.
