It is with sadness that I must report the passing of a member of the OttawaFoodies community. I was told that chef Obi passed away in late July. Many of you will remember his great contributions to forum discussions and also the delicious food he shared at our memorable 2009 pot luck gathering. Reminisce a little here: Forum - OttawaFoodies Summer Meetup (August 23, this Sunday).

Chef, may your spark continue whenever a grill is lit.

I too am sorry to hear about the passing of Obi. He was a kind thoughtful man and he will be missed.

Damn, I only met him the one time, but he seemed like a nice guy. At the potluck he cooked the pork tenderloins I had brought (I don't barbeque...and he was kind enough to do it for me). I wish I had gotten to know him better :(
