Being tried in Minnesota . . .

You know, it has a certain appeal.

I wonder if it would also work with food. Free sushi for a lifetime, free curry for a lifetime . . . free hot dogs for a lifetime.

Wait I forgot to put "free" in quotes . . .

What's the percentage of businesses that die in the first 5 years?

From liver damage? Oh businesses, not patrons . . .

You know if it's a brew pub it might not be a bad idea.

Students might think, I can drink a $1000 of beer in my lifetime, but chances are, you will move away from that location and won't be able to maintain your consumption. If you do come back for a visit, you will bring friends.

It would be interesting to see how this works out long term.

Besides, as you imply, the offer is only as good as the lifetime of the restaurant, which may be shorter than the patron's lifespan. You can't get free beer from a closed establishment.

If the free beer is sucking them dry, then they will just declare bankruptcy.
