Is there anywhere in town where you can get specifically bags of crushed ice?

Probably not - once it sits around in a freezer for any amount of time it solidifies back into one large semi-solid block.

Good blenders ie. vitamix / breville hemisphere will crush ice quite well but are pricey if you don't use a lot.

Lewis bag and blunt object is my recommendation. Good for stress relief as well.

McSology makes a bombproof bag that will last for years (www.mcsology.com).

As for blunt object, a carpenter's mallet or a fish billy club will do the trick. A rolling pin or a large muddler will also work.
