Forum - London (UK) Suggestions?
I've been back to Moti Mahal 3 times since the orginal thread. It never disapponts. I dream of the Dal Makhani
Also Arbutus they have a pre theatre menu that is a pretty good deal
www.arbutusrestaurant.co.uk/
Boroughs Market boroughmarket.org.uk/
Barrica - Spanish Tapas barrica.co.uk/
Fortnam and Mason - The Parlour - ice cream and such is fun (but not cheap)
Jamies Italian in Covent Garden is good, His Union Jack restuarant - not so much.

Bar Pepito sherry Bar
Hawksmoor for steak
Gordon's for some wine and cheese
Guildable Manor in Borough Market for a sandwich (lamb and cilantro ideally)
Brass Rail in Selfridge's for salt beef (Brick Lane Beigel if you're out that way)
St. John's Bread and Wine for good British offal
Gymkhana for Indian
Pubs:
Royal Oak in Southwark/Borough
The Harp by the National Portrait Gallery for sausage and a pint of Dark Star
The Market Porter in Borough market for high turnover cask ale
CASK Pub and Kitchen for craft
Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese if you haven't before
Ye Olde Mitre
Oh, and I'm a sucker for Tayyab's.
That's a start anyway, let me know if you have anything particular in mind. I'll be heading out in about three weeks time, so let us know if you find anything interesting.

Sadly, I can't seem to find a counterpart to this site, which would probably be your best source of advice.

Thanks for the recommends everyone, it was really helpful.
Some of the highlights of the trip included Gordon's Wine Bar for wine and cheese, Ottolenghi in Islington for dinner, the Savoy and Waldorf hotels for lunch and dinner, Barrafina in Soho for excellent tapas, Shoryu in Piccadilly for ramen and the Borough Market for .... almost literally everything.
A few full English breakfasts were also "enjoyed" - which always seem like a such good idea until you finish your plate!
Obviously the food culture in UK is often maligned (and their can be truth in that if you are stuck with limited time and/or knowledge) but with a smartphone and some trusted recommendations ;) one can really have some wonderful experiences. Thanks again!
