Eggspectations and Chez Cora are pretty much right downtown and big enough to likely have no issues accomodating your group, tho you could try to make a rez.
Better but not quite downtown: Stoneface Dolly's on Preston, Jak's on Bronson.
If i wanted out of town guests to have a nice time with good food in a non-loud setting, i'd go w Jak's (and make a rez to be sure they're open that day).
