Fresh Turkey [General]

Not in the east end, but Saslove's on wellington does a brisk business in fresh turkeys on thanksgiving and christmas. You do have to order them ahead though. I do find they can be expensive, but I have never been disappointed. And you can also pick up a tub of duck fat there to make sure the skin crisps up.

Not sure if they will have turkeys for Thanksgiving though, as it tends to be more of a Christmas thing in Quebec...
I haven't bought a turkey from them, but I really like their chicken, much larger and tastier than the "industrial" ones.
(I guess their enormous chickens could be a good choice if you are only cooking thanksgiving dinner for a few people and don't want to eat leftover turkey for months...)
