ottawa foodies

Coming in from out of town and planning on meeting up with friends for coffee on Friday afternoon. We're planning on Kanata or Westboro. Any suggestions on what's open?

Coffee shops close on Good Friday? It would never have occured to me... well, maybe downtown Ottawa, where they are also closed on weekends and in the evening because there is no one around, but not in Westboro.

(I'll suggest a plan B just in case : if all the coffee shops in Westoboro are closed, take Champlain bridge, the coffee shops on the Quebec side will be open... )

I never thought about any being closed but then my Mom made a comment and got me worried. I don't want to arrange to meet friends at a place that's closed!

cheesyman I'm not sure about the coffee shops in Kanata or Westboro since I live downtown. However alot of businesses in my neighbourhood will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The only exception seems to be in designated tourist areas - ie. the Byward Market.

Bridgehead in Westboro will be open tomorrow.
