We will be heading to Almonte on Feb 26th for lunch and just wanted to know where the best place to eat is at the moment?

I see in the tags that the Ironworks Pub is now closed and replaced by the Barley Mow - but there is only one negative review.

I also see the Heirloom Cafe - with one good review.

Anywhere else to recommend or any updated info on the above two places?

This place has received some good buzz lately... I haven't tried it yet, but plan to on my way up to the cottage once the snow melts. Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib crepe with roasted shallots, braised root vegetables, oven dried tomato is what I'm leaning to already.

Heirloom has very good food with a great dining room and good craft beers on tap.
