Okay, so 1.8 million tonnes can hardly be called a shortage, but it is about 15% down from last year and some US wholesalers have been planning a 30% price increase because of increased demand.

Some large farm operations have switched to more profitable crops, like cotton.

Has anyone seen a dramatic jump in the price of peanut butter?

My Sudanese peanuts have not gone up. Way better than the bland USA stuff.

I make my own PB with them .. Yumm yumm.
