The eggplant is pretty good, but it has a ton of oil in it...
Had Genji's Gaku Densaku (grilled eggplant with dengaku sauce) again tonight, and converted two other people to asian eggplant. Slightly cruchy skin, mashed insides with that sauce. Mm mm.
Different taste and texture than european eggplant, certainly...
usually I buy the eggplant dip at Cedars grocery- it is like a vinegared salad.
or Fusion house on Bank st they have some Asian eggplant dishes in their menu and they are good too. a bit too salty though.
