Looking to find Redcurrant Jelly. I always take a look in the preserve sections in specialty stores I go to but haven't found any yet. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I bought it last year at the Superstore in Kanata, the one on March Rd.

I've seen it at Boushey's on Elgin. They a good selection of higher-end and more exotic (including savory type) jams.

I've recently seen it at the Scottish Irish Store in Bell's Corners.

Also saw it at the Nicastro on Merrivale road.
As an aside if you ever want authentic Greek oregano they have one as well, imported from Greece.
You will never use the grocery store stuff again!!

Is Red Currant the same as "red fruits jam"?

If it is then I saw some on the chocodirect website and Swiss pastries prob sells it too.
And maybe Ikea?? (or is that lingonberry)...

The brand I know is Comptes de Provence.

Loblaws really does not carry such a product?
I always assumed they did- never actually tried looking there though.

No, Red fruits jam is not the same as red currant jelly. Jam and jelly are two different products.

yes, Loblaws carries red currant jelly. It's made by Presidents Choice. I buy it there every Christmas. That's why I suggested Loblaws.

I just realized that jelly is the stuff that is clear without actual fruit bits- used as a glaze.
I knew that and totally forgot.

I will try and remember to pick up the PC one it does sound good!
