One of my facebook peeps down in the US has one and seems to love it.

EDIT: whoops, it is convection not conduction. FF, could you fix that in the subject?

Seems very interesting. Makes sense from a technological perspective. Will have to bookmark for a future purchase. The cost is also very low compared to other similar smokers. The question is how will it perform in our Canadian winters.. this is one of the big selling points of the egg style bbqs.

I wouldn't qualify this as a smoker (unless you can easily add chips) because it seems you can only smoke once on this thing, so for a big bird or even ribs, you probably wouldn't get a nice smoke ring, only some smoke flavour. I could be wrong, if, for example, the woods burns slowly starting at the bottom and you get more than 15-20 minutes of smoke.

I too would like to see how it performs in cold temperatures.
