Hi, was wondering if anyone knows of any restaurants other than beckta or the works that have a private room that you can rent.

Also, anyone know the name of the restaurant that you take your shoes off, sit on ground and sit around low table, in a private type room.

Don't know how much you're looking to pay, but Signatures has several rooms of various sizes. I believe you can also rent out the entire Petit Bill's Bistro on Wellington for private functions. I believe The Keg Manor also has a variety of rooms...

As far as a low-table room (japanese style?) I can't think of anywhere.

A'roma Meze (across the street from Beckta) also has a quite nice private room. It is not huge, it could probably seat 6 comfortably. I highly recommend it!

I think e18hteen also has a private room as does the Keg (manor).

A few of the Japanese restaurants in town offer private Tatami rooms. Suisha Gardens is another one.

Edoko also has one of those tatami rooms as well. I'm not sure what kind of food/price range you are looking for but the Fox and Feather on Elgin has a private room as well. They only serve pub style food though.

I believe The Courtyard has a private room, and Friday's Roast Beef House also has semi-private rooms.

Empire Grill has a fairly large private room available to rent for events

El Meson on Beechwood Avenue has 2 private rooms on the upper level.
One accommodates up to 48 people and the other, 14. There's a covered deck too.
I REALLY like this restaurant - consistently excellent (Iberian food) - and the owner, José, A+.

It’s been a few years but I believe Le Baccara at the Casino du Lac-Leamy still has a private room. A Blackjack dealer is also available.

I believe that the Wellington Gastropub also has a private room.
Taste of Japan in Bells Corners also has a semi private area with seating on mats around a low table. The Urban Element also does private events:

I'll be attending a family dinner on Saturday at Le St-Estèphe in Hull and I was just informed that we've been booked into a private room!

So I guess you could try here too: www.st-estephe.ca
