Rolling pins rings? [General]

2011 May 19
Does anyone know where I can get rolling pins rings of different thickness? Golda's kitchen sells them but it's $8 of rings and $10 of shipping.. I've never seen them in stores and no one seems to have heard of them. Hendrix had no clue a while ago when I asked..

Thanks

Call Schooner Industrial on Bently and ask if they have their silicon o-rings in the size of your rolling pin. They'll have some stretch so a little too small should work.

I've seen these at Paradis on Bank Street.

mart242, another suggestion, one I use, is 18" lengths (or more, depending on counter depth) of wood dowel - they aren't as soft as silicone so may give a more consistent thickness. I use 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2", in pairs of course. At CTC or any hardware store, usually in 3' lengths, sometimes 4'.

The wood dowels are an excellent idea! If it doesn't work too well I'll pop by CA Paradis.
