Feuille de brick [Food/Vendor]

2011 Mar 8
I visited friends recently in the French Indies and they made a delicious appetizer with what they call "feuille de brick". I did a little research and found that it originates from Tunisia and is available in France. Also, it is very similar to filo, the difference is its more buttery, you can pan fry it and deep fry it....

Where in Ottawa can I purchase this?

I was just told at Cedar's Grocery that it s the same as Philo and they were selling it in the dairy section there before.

But sunday the same item was in a refrigerated case with their samosas.
A flat plastic package that was mostly Yellow with some french, english, arab writing on it.

Not sure what the brand was though.

PC also sells some frozen philo pastry that is good.

I like to use Kataif or Kataifi dough to make stuff (bought some at Foodbasics that was frozen)...my parents used to make stuff from that...it is a shredded pastry.

I would maybe try Cedar's first, Foodbasics sometimes has the same stuff.
But the PC brand frozen pastry is good and very buttery.
