Pho in the public servant ghetto? [General]

2010 Nov 16
I'm looking for Pho between Bay, Wellington, Metcalfe and Lisgar.

I've heard not-so-good things about Saigon Pho... namely the broth is weak, the soup lacks meat and bean sprouts and it's a tad overpriced.

Any other suggestions?

There is Mr Pho Fusion - 331 Elgin Street that could be worth a shot but its a bit out of your zone as is the Temptation Tea Shop - 324 Bank St. The rest seem to be headed towards the usual Sommerset and area zone. Let us know how your adventure goes. Or if anyone is familliar with either of these two places and their Pho, please share your experiences. Thanks.

I've always found Pho downtown to cost little bit more to get a little bit less so to speak. I think it is worth it to take the walk to Chinatown if you can swing it.

However, the best place I have found strictly downtown is Truc? on the NE corner of Bank and Somerset.

I second Pho Bo Ga Truc at Bank & Somerset. Yes, higher prices than on Somerset, but the quality doesn't suffer like Saigon Pho, and the non-pho dishes are quite fine.
