I remain skeptical :

"People accept scientific measurements as the truth about a lot of things. Mass. The temperature at which water freezes. The size of the earth. But it's hard to swallow the idea of scientifically measuring how something tastes. Taste is subjective. Right? Not anymore—thanks to ExtractMojo, a gadget that quantifies a cup of coffee's flavor."

Haha. Neat! But it doesn't measure the actual flavour -- just the strength (the concentration of dissolved coffee particles). Like it says, it will help you to brew perfectly. Bean selection and roasting will affect the flavour of the end result as much or more.

Still, I'd love to try one out on my Aeropress powered Americanos!

Yum. It makes perfect sense and would be pretty reasonable to measure from a scientific pov. Still, A little expensive for me at this point in time. Love my coffee but not that much.

Many variables go into the taste of a cup of coffee . . . and the clover machine lets you play with a few of them . . .
