Yet another case.

Exactly why we bought a home food slicer years ago. For the sandwich meats we like, we either make our own roasts etc. or purchase whole slabs and slice them ourselves. Less handling and processing (at a plant or in store) means less risk.

Our Food Saver vacuum sealer does an excellent job of keeping the meats fresh in the freezer. We'd love a pro model slicer but make due with a home version Waring Pro Food Slicer. A bit of a pain to clean but when you do it yourself you do it right.

Overall, a little more time and a little more expense due to freezer bag costs but priceless when it comes to peace of mind.
