Some common myths:
* Searing meat seals in the juices
* Baking soda in the fridge absorbs odours
* Flambéeing burns off most of the alcohol
* Salt makes water boil sooner
* Salting meat before cooking is bad
Most are old news to me, but the baking soda fridge deodorizer myth and the salty water boiling sooner myth were things I thought to be true. Live and learn!
