ottawa foodies

Hi all,

I've been checking out the lists for all the places to pick strawberries around Ottawa and I don't see any that are organic.

If there are none, does anyone know of a place that at least uses better practices? (Don't even know what I mean by that - less pesticides I guess? Or less harmful pesticides if that even exists?)

They say strawberries are one of the top 10 items that you should eat organic, so I am a bit worried about picking the pesticide laden versions.

Any ideas?

Also check with the places and ask. Some places are organic but are certified as (from what I understand) it is an expensive and lengthy process.
