New CSA [Food/Vendor]
2010 Jul 15
We went for a half share with Roots and Shoots Farm. This was week 3 for them but just our second week since we go every other. So far, we have been pleased with the variety and the quality. It is my understanding that they have a stall at Lansdowne at the Farmers Market if you want to check them out on the weekend.

Are you a food voyeur? Wanting to check out buying local? We are still pretty pleased with our Roots and Shoots Farm CSA experience. It is a challenge dealing with the mystery of not knowing what we will get. But that makes it fun! I have posted pictures on my blog so you can see what we picked up yesterday. I expect they offer similar produce at the market. I noticed they were selling behind MEC last evening too. Hopefully you can get a chance to check them out!
My zucchini's are being grilled in long strips and then spread with goat cheese and sprinkled with kalamata olives pieces and then rolled up to make just the perfect bite of an appetizer. If you have a wine match suggestion I would love to hear it.
