Does anyone know where I can get organic chicken breasts in Ottawa for a reasonable price?
I checked Herb & Spice, and that Polish and/or Jewish store on Wellington and both have pretty steep prices. I understand that organic is usually more expensive, but I'm talking like 6 times the price :)
I don't mind get from the local farmers either. I can go pick it up, meet somewhere or I even heard there are deliveries available. Basically anything goes. As long as it's quality chicken for less, I am all ears. Doesn't even have to be certified, as long as it's from a reputable farmer.
Try the organic farmer's market near Bank and Walkley. I've bought chicken for my hubby there. Don't know how the prices compare because I never buy it from the grocery store.
