For all of you with the Food Network (which unfortunately doesn't include me) Martin Picard, chef at the wonderful Au Pied du Cochon in Montreal, has a new show called 'The Wild Chef', which sounds like it is going to be fantastic. If you are interested in distinct Canadian cuisine and hunter/gathering this show is for you.

Looks like the first episode will have Muskrat Spare Ribs prepared.

Now where in the heck am I gonna get a muskrat ?

I already know that it is illegal to discharge a fire arm withnin city limits ... so ...

Can I set up a trap line or snare line down by the Ottawa River without a license ?

Says that for the Foie Gras espisode they'll cover the history, farm to table, etc. Wonder if they used Mariposa Farms Mariposa Farm as their reference. Maybe we'll be blessed again by a visit from NU-1161...
