My new found love .... 'Nan Ru Flavor Peanuts' from China via Merilin International Trading Inc.
I had these before in a similar package labeled 'Nam Yu Flavor Peanuts'. Looks like they really messed up the English spelling on this batch.
The french on the package is worse ... 'Salted Cheese' ?
Nam Yu means fermented red (soya) beans. A very distinct flavour which permeates these peanuts.
They are ony $1.79 for a 400g package ... way cheaper than any Planters crap. I get mine at New 168 Market (New 168 Market
). (Why they call it NEW 168 Market I really don't know .... was there an Old 168 Market that I can't remember ?)
These vacuum packed peanuts get a Captain Caper Triple Yumm Rating.
Yumm Yumm Yumm !!!
PS: They make an excellent topping for my Beef with Black Bean stirfry.
